Abstract / samenvatting in Nederlands:

Abstract / summary in English:

Stricter nutrient management regulations, both in the Netherlands and Flanders, increasingly limit the amount of animal manure and chemical fertilisers that farmers may apply to their fields. To maintain grass production and feed quality under these conditions, soil biological activity becomes increasingly important. PRP Sol is a granular fertiliser consisting of calcium and magnesium carbonate serving as a carrier for well-soluble mineral salts (including sodium, iron, zinc and boron). PRP Sol is used as a soil conditioner to activate soil biological processes and regulate soil pH. The effectiveness of PRP Sol was investigated in a 4-year field trial.
