Het landelijke samenwerkingsverband Bloeiend Bedrijf, met bijna 600 deelnemers en 1200 kilometer bloeiende akkerranden heeft kleur gegeven aan het Nederlandse landschap en bijgedragen aan vergroening. Het is duidelijk geworden dat vergroening uitstekend samengaat met functionaliteit voor de akkerbouwer. Bloeiend Bedrijf laat zien dat de aanleg van akkerranden in combinatie met kennisuitwisseling over functionele agrobiodiversiteit heeft geresulteerd in minder inzet van gewasbeschermingsmiddelen.
With close to 600 participants, the national collaborative project Flourishing Farm has established no less than 1200 kilometres of flowering field margins in the Netherlands. These field margins not only help to "green" the Dutch rural landscape, but also have a great functional value for arable farmers, particularly in terms of promoting natural pest control. This magazine presents the results of the Flourishing Farm project, the experiences of participating farmers, and the insights of researchers. This project shows that the establishment of flowering field margins in combination with knowledge exchange on functional agrobiodiversity has led to a significant reduction in pesticide use.
